FIELD: agriculture mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has fixed bar with oppositely cutting edges mounted on a frame and movable cutter strip with cutting segments. The cutter strip reciprocates. Mirror symmetry double-arm levers are pivotally connected with the frame. The arms of the levers are provided with carriers secured to the cutter strip through fastening members and flexible carriers coupled with free ends of the flexible members. Bases of the flexible members are rigidly secured to the frame, positioned out of zone of passing of green mass and coupled with the cutter strip through double arm levers provided with flexible carriers.
