FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely titanium sponge metallurgy, designs of apparatuses for reducing and vacuum separation.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes retort with false bottom, thermal diffusion titanium coating, lid and draining device. Inside apparatus is provided with protection metallic member of metal non-contaminating titanium sponge and having shell mounted on elliptical bottom of converter. Relation of diameter of shell to diameter of converter is in range 0.95 - 0.98; relation of height of shell to height of converter is in range 0.7 - 0.9. Said protection member also includes covering sheet arranged on support of false bottom and having diameter consisting of 1.0 -1.1 of diameter of support of false bottom. Embedded lid is protected by perforated screen secured to lid lower portion.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of titanium sponge.
