FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of cermet materials, possibly used for manufacturing shields protecting against ionizing irradiation, carrying carcasses of containers for transporting and storing irradiated nuclear fuel and radioactive waste materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mixing ceramic filler and metallic melt containing metal or element being ion of filler and(or) matter being reducing agent for filler; using filler with finely dispersed and coarsely dispersed particles; at first mixing metallic melt with finely dispersed particles and then - with coarsely dispersed particles. In second variant of invention coarsely dispersed particles are impregnated with metallic melt mixed with finely dispersed particles; cooling prepared mixture till its solidification in ingot mold of predetermined shape.
EFFECT: possibility for producing composition materials in wide range of their contents and with highly improved operational properties.
