FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of pellets and powders of rare, radioactive metals and their alloys.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized due to producing from raw charge of chemical compounds of rare radioactive metals in crucible of melting furnace metallic melt after reducing chemical compounds with use of reducing metal. Method comprises steps of removing slag from prepared metallic melt or crystallizing it; then discharging melt out of crucible for dispersing stream of melt by drops; cooling drops and crystallizing them; in order to produce pellets and powders of alloys, adding to charge alloying elements in the form of chemical compounds, metals, alloys reacting with reducing metal for forming flux.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of products, lowered quantity of waste material, increased useful life period of equipment.
