FIELD: fiber dyeing.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for coloristic design of articles manufactured from modified, in particular antimicrobial, acetylcellulose fibers and is directed to impart smooth, deep, and strong color to fibers, while simultaneously increasing their biological activity. To that end, 8-hydroxyquinoline is added to spinning solution of acetylcellulose in amount 0.5-5.0% of the weight of polymer before formation of fibers, after which fibers are continuously impregnated with aqueous solution of cupric sulfate pentahydrate, pH 4.0-6.5, at 1-2°C and liquor ratio 10 for 4-5 min and then subjected to expression to weight increment 110-120%, heat treatment at 175-200°C for 30-40 sec, washing, and drying. Weight ratio of 8-hydroxyquinoline to CuSO4·H2O in impregnating solution is (1÷1.5):(20÷30).
EFFECT: improved quality of coloration and increased biological activity of fibers.
