FIELD: electrical engineering; automatic field regulators of large synchronous motors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed synchronous motor field regulator has motor stator voltage meter, motor stator RMS current meter, power factor meter, and rotor current meter. Newly introduced in field regulator are unit for computing stator-current active and reactive components, coordinate conversion unit, reactive power computing unit, motor electromotive force evaluating unit, unit for evaluating motor internal angle and its first and second derivatives, as well as first and second forming units.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of rotor hunting suppression in measuring supply mains load and voltage, as well as motor static stability throughout entire load variation range.
