FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanism designed to turn on circuit-opening devices, such as reversible switches, knife-switches, selector switches, and the like, by means of swinging key has at least one fixed contact and one movable contact, both mounted on movable anchor set in rotary motion to displace movable contact to fixed one or vice versa by means of pin actuated by swinging key and to act on movable anchor by compression spring; pin acts upon movable anchor by means of articulated head or fork-shaped joint so that two arms of fork are disposed on respective section of anchor in effect symmetrically to anchor center.
EFFECT: reduced key swinging angle, shorter electric-arc time length, facilitated separation of contacts.
