FIELD: procedures of gas-electric arc cutting, namely air-flame cutting of parts with curvilinear contour, mainly drawn portions of formed parts with use of working table and tools, possibly for small-lot and pilot industrial production in machine engineering plants.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing part 2 to be trimmed between members of tool having lodgment secured to base of working table and template having handle and guide along its contour; resting nozzle of plasmotron at lateral side upon guide and trimming part along outer contour of guide due to sliding motion of nozzle relative to guide and simultaneously orienting axis of plasmotron normally to plane of trimmed part. Lodgment, template and trimmed part have similar three-dimensional shape providing condition for their mutual self-fixing. Contour of lodgment is smaller than that of template. Contour of template is smaller than contour of reference part 1. Ready similar parts are used as lodgment and template; said parts were prepared by reference trimming of them with subsequent working of their edges.

EFFECT: reduced labor consumption of process, shortened time period of trimming cycle of one part at providing desired geometry size and quality of trimmed edge.
