FIELD: applying coatings. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: fixing a cylindrical article in a lather chuck, introducing a device including two small-dimension plasmotrons disposed sequentially one after another into the cylinder inner cavity, rotating the article, in continuous-sequential mode the first plasmotron performing the cleaning of the article inner surface and the other one applying the coating. The method is characterized in that simultaneous sintering of the coating occurs as a result of action upon the substrate of two plasma arcs. The device for performing the method has an electric motor, housing and nozzles, contacting surfaces of them being covered with electric insulation coating of thickness of 0.5-1 mm.
