SUBMERSIBLE CENTRIFUGAL PUMPING UNIT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F04D13/10 

FIELD: oil producing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in submersible centrifugal pumping units of modular design for recovery of oil from inclined and purposely slanted wells. To protect cable from damage, safety couplings are fitted on flanged joints of pumping unit modules. Said couplings consist of two coupling members hinge-connected and fastened by screw with tabs for subsequent locking. For fastening the coupling members, thread is cut in one of them installed of through hole and is made of depth sufficient for fitting threaded part of screw. Slots are made on support surfaces of coupling members for arrangement of nuts or bolts fastening flanged connections of modules. Shaped ribs are made on peripheral longitudinal part of each coupling member which from, when coupled together, a slot for cable. Said slot provides protection of cable from mechanical damages and prevents displacement of cable in safety coupling under gravity.

EFFECT: improved reliability of pumping unit.
