METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS FOR LARYNGEAL MUSCLE PARESIS AND PARALYSIS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61N1/36

SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing anterior neck surface, lower cervical vertebrae to electrostimulation with controlled current intensity causing muscle contraction to appear. Sternohyoid muscles are treated on the anterior neck surface. Posterior digastric muscle belly is additionally treated from both sides. Current is applied 2 s long in succession to each posterior digastric muscle belly, next, to each sternohyoid muscle and then to lower cervical vertebrae. The general treatment time is 10-15 min long in 5-6 procedures. Next to it, the current is supplied to all mentioned zones for 2 s alternated with 2 s long pauses. Patient contracts cervical muscles with force during the treatment. The total treatment course is time is 10-15 min long with 7-8 procedures for the whole course.

EFFECT: improved functional state of neuromuscular apparatus and microcirculation in lesion focus; accelerated treatment course.
