SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of glass industry, in particular, to the glass furnace intended for cook of the different kinds of glasses, except for quartz glass. The high efficiency of the glass furnace, saving of the fuel and energy resources and the qualitative fusion penetration of the glass melt is insured by the research optimally selected ratio of the distances from the axis of the inlets of the regenerators burners up to the bottom of the glass-melting tank in the loading area (h1) to the height of the overflow threshold (h2) coupled among themselves by the ratioof h1/h2 = (7.14-7.31) and the ratio of the distances from the inlets of the regenerators burners up to the bottom of the glass-melting tank in the loading area (h1) to the depth of the groove (h3) coupled among themselves by the ratioofh1/h3 = (5.12-5.42.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the high efficiency of the glass furnace, saving of the fuel and energy resources, the qualitative fusion penetration of the glass melt.
