SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of glass industry, in particular, to the glass furnace intended for cook of the different kinds of glasses, except for quartz glass. The high efficiency of the glass furnace and the qualitative fusion penetration of the glass melt is insured by the research optimally selected ratio of the volumes of the gas-flame space of the glass furnace (V1) and the regenerators checkerworks (V2), which are coupled among themselves by the ratioof V1/V2 =0.65 - 1.1, and the height of the overflow threshold (H1) coupled with the height of the glass-melting tank up to the overflow threshold(H2) by the ratio of H1/H2 = 0.63-0.46.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the high efficiency of the glass furnace and the qualitative fusion penetration of the glass melt.
