FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to alloyed steels comprising chrome and boron. Steel for links of charging belt comprises, wt.-%: carbon, 0.49-0.55; silicon, 0.17-0.37; manganese, 0.50-0.80; chrome, 0.10-0.3-; boron, 0.001-0.0045; aluminum, 0.05-0.15; titanium, 0.02-0.10, and iron, the balance. Invention provides expanding technological possibilities based on enhancing steel hardenability and improving mechanical and exploitation properties of charging belt links made of this steel. Proposed steel is designated for making charging belt links band by stamping, in particular, for filling small-gage artillery blasting cartridges for automatic shooting.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of steel.
