SUPPORT FOR ROLLING CUTTER BIT AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING THEREOF Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E21B10/22 

FIELD: engineering of rock-destroying tools, namely, of supports for rolling cutter bits, containing pivot bolt and rolling cutter held on pivot bolt by locking unit.

SUBSTANCE: pivot bolt is made with circular recess, and locking unit - in form of collet bushing with circular clamp on internal surface at end portion on the side of collet leaves, mounted in circular recess of pivot bolt. Bushing is made with left thread on external surface, and rolling cutter - with corresponding thread on internal surface. Collet bushing is held in starting position without possible rotation relatively to pivot bolt by means of shear elements. Method for assembling the support includes mounting a packing ring and threaded collet bushing on pivot bolt, circular clamp of which bushing is positioned in corresponding recess of pivot bolt, mounting and locking of bushing relatively to pivot bolt by shear element, connection of bushing to rolling cutter by means of left thread on external surface of bushing and corresponding thread on internal surface of rolling cutter. After that hollow between leaves of collet bushing is filled with hard lubricant and shear element is cut.

EFFECT: increased reliability of operation, simplified construction.
