FIELD: rock-destroying instruments, namely, supports for rolling cutter bits, containing pivot and cutter held on pivot by lock unit.

SUBSTANCE: pivot is made with circular recess, while lock unit is formed by collapsible ring, mounted in circular recess of pivot and rigidly connected to cutter. Contacting surfaces of collapsible ring and pivot in zone of position of circular recess are made with circular shelves and corresponding grooves, and collapsible ring is made of several parts in form of circular segments. Mating zone of end and internal surfaces of collapsible ring is made with radius, appropriate for radius of arc of transition zone of end and side surfaces of circular recess.

EFFECT: increased reliability of operation.
