FIELD: electrical engineering; commutator-and-brush gear for direct-current machines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed current-collecting device for DC machines that uses rolling contact afforded by relatively insulated flexible conducting rings uniformly disposed in commutator-to-brush clearance instead of commonly used sliding contact between brush and commutator. Such design provides for essential reduction in wear of contacting members and for elimination of brush film on commutator surface.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of electric contact, reduced electromagnetic noise level.
