FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to collector electric machines of direct and alternating current of general industrial and aviation design, and can be used for accelerated guidance of copper-oxide surface films on collectors of electric machines of direct and alternating current. The technical result is the elimination of the unevenness of current distribution along the parallel-running spring-loaded current-removing brushes of the sliding current-removing units in multi-brush systems by installing additional non-conductive brushes made of a chemically active catalyst, vanadium anhydride with a binder with an acceptable heating temperature of more than 400°C, not participating in current transfer and made in the form of briquettes accelerating the process of formation of a varnish film with standard spring-loaded current collecting brushes. Additional non-conductive brushes contribute to the formation of a uniform and dense film (varnish) on the contact rings, the collector, and also reduce the wear of the friction elements and their temperature by reducing the coefficient of friction.
EFFECT: elimination of the unevenness of current distribution along the parallel-running spring-loaded current-removing brushes.
