FIELD: petroleum industry; equipment for petroleum industry.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to, in particular, to the equipment for petroleum industry, in particular, to the installations for separation of the water from the products of the oil-wells. The water separator contains the slope column made out of the pipes and consisting of the water-settling and petroleum-settling sections, the pipeline for delivery of the gas-liquid mixture and the connected to the column pipelines for withdrawal of petroleum, waters and gas. The pipeline for the gas-liquid mixture delivery is connected to the soothing collector having the water discharge branch pipe connected with the bottom part of the water-settling section of the column. In the column below the discharge opening of the soothing collector there is one or more partitions open in their upper part. The height and the dimension of the last partition is bigger, than the heights and dimensions of the rest partitions. Between the outlet of the soothing collector and the last partition there is the pocket for gathering of the coming into the column petroleum. The offered solution allows to raise intensity of the process of separation of the water.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased intensity of the process of the water separation.
