FIELD: measurement technology; inertial navigation for flying and submersible vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed stringed accelerometer includes inertial mass suspended from four suspensions and two strings by Cortesian coordinate system; strings are made in form of optical fibers forming two arms of fiber-optics interferometer. Acceleration acting on stringed accelerometer causes shift of inertial mass and respective tension and slackening of two strings.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining optical signal at stringed-accelerometer output.
