CLOTH RESISTIVE ELEMENT FOR FLEXIBLE-ELECTRIC HEATER AND FLEXIBLE ELECTRIC HEATER WITH CLOTH RESISTIVE ELEMENT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC H05B3/34

Abstract RU 2292129 C1

FIELD: electric heating, possible use in homes, industry and medicine.

SUBSTANCE: cloth resistive element 1 contains current-conductive fabric 2, forming its heating surface, two parallel current-conductive buses 3 integrated in structure of fabric 2, with contact wires 4 (dwg.1). Fabric 2 is made by interlacing non electro-conductive filaments 5 having first direction I and electro-conductive resistive filaments 6, having second direction II, perpendicular to first one. Buses 3 are made of twisted metallized filaments 7 and are positioned along the edges of fabric 2 in first direction. Each bus 3 is made in form of two fragments 8, positioned serially and letter-spaced relatively to each other. Heating surface of element 1 located between buses 3 in first direction and between edges of fabric 2 in second direction, is homogeneous and continuous. It consists of heating fields A,B,C, translating to one another, while boundaries of these fields are matched with boundaries of fragments 8 of both buses 3. One contact wire 4 is held in field A on free end of fragment 8 of one bus 3 matched with it, and another one - in field E at given distance from free end 9 of same fragment 8 of another bus 3. This provides for similar and constant heating temperature in fields A,B and in field C up to position where wire 4 is held, and from aforementioned position to the end of field C - alternating (descending), thus confirming possibility of production of both one needed temperature and a range of temperatures in local zone of heating surface of element 1. Flexible electric heater 11 (dwg.2) contains, encased in polymer casing 12, laminated cloth resistive element 1, current-conductive screen 13 and a layer of cloth material 14. Electric heater may contain two or more cloth resistive elements in case of their serial, parallel or serial-parallel connection and may support given heating mode with constant and alternating temperatures across its whole area.

EFFECT: expanded operational capabilities, simplified construction of electric heater.
