FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comes to simultaneous delivery of main and additional fuel into combustion chamber. At nominal cruising duties, methane, propane or butane or liquid fuel-diesel fuel or gasoline is used as main fuel, and as additional fuel, liquid fuel - dimethyl ether or kerosene initiating burning and featuring higher combustion speed than main fuel. Additional fuel is fed, being atomized by ejection of air or steam at lower consumption as compared with consumption of main fuel. At transient conditions, delivery of additional fuel is increased by adjusting its flow rate depending on temperature of working gases at power turbine output. According to second design version, at nominal cruising duties, used as main fuel is heavy liquid fuel-dimethyl ether , diesel fuel or kerosene and hydrogen is used as additional fuel initiating burning and delivered at reduced flow rate as compared with consumption of main fuel. Hydrogen is obtained by its gasification from cryogenic state or by means of carry-on electrolyzer connected to power source. Invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of conversion of potential energy of working gases into useful work owing to provision of directed action onto-liberating process at combustion of delivered fuel at steady-state and unsteady conditions of gas0turbine engine and for matching the latter in time with position of working members of engine, for instance, turbine blades, nozzle, etc.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of conversion of potential energy into work.
