FIELD: elementary-particle physics.
SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used for registration of quick charged particles. Heat converter is used is submerged into atmosphere of working temperature-sensitive gas or temperature-sensitive layer of registering matter is applied onto its surface. After that the part of energy of registered particles is conversed into heat at surface of converter. Rise in temperature is used in subsurface area of track at heat converter for extraction either of decaying components of molecules of temperature-sensitive gas or for activation of exothermal or chain chemical reaction onto surface of converter. According to the first version, the device for registering charged particles has registering matter in form of working gas and heat converter submerged into area of the gas. As working gas the carbonyl of one of metal can be taken. According to the second version, device for registering charged particles has heat converter, onto surface of which converter the layer of temperature-sensitive matter is applied. Temperature-sensitive matter structure can be used as registering matter. Matter of any chemical composition can be used as aid for braking charged particles.
EFFECT: wider range of detector for charged particles.
