FIELD: growing of mushrooms and forming of substrate blocks.

SUBSTANCE: method for growing of edible mushrooms involves preparing and disinfecting substrate; introducing mycelium into substrate and forming mushroom blocks in polyethylene package provided with cuts; forming mushroom blocks from two chambers: one chamber for forming of internal cavity and other chamber for filling with substrate; providing inverted T-shaped cuts on external surface of mushroom blocks; before introducing mycelium into substrate, treating mycelium with growth promoting preparation, in particular arachidonic acid ether, at the rate of 10-5-10-3 ml/kg by weight of mycelium. Cuts provided on external surface of mushroom block have length of 25-35 mm in vertical plane and 20-30 mm in horizontal plane. Method for forming of substrate block involves forming mushroom block from polyethylene film hose by locating replaceable forming member in one half of hose; cutting-off and thermally sealing film edges along their length through thickness of hose; cutting-off and thermally sealing other half of hose in cross direction; turning film inside out through free edge onto first half of hose so as to define chamber between films of both halves of hose; filling formed chamber with substrate; withdrawing replaceable forming member from first half of hose so as to define internal cavity therein; closing open part of chamber filled with substrate by putting free edges of film of second half of hose onto first half of polyethylene hose. Replaceable forming member may be made of different geometric shape, for example cylindrical. Internal cavity in mushroom block has diameter of 6-10 cm.

EFFECT: decreased cost of substrate components and seeding material such as mycelium, reduced vulnerability of substrate and mushroom growing cycle.
