FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying infrared spectroscopy for studying blood by making infrared radiation pass through the sample and repeatedly measuring infrared radiation transmission coefficient every other second during 1 min in 9 subranges 3500-3200 cm-1; 3085-2832 cm-1; 2120-1880 cm-1; 1710-1610 cm-1; 1600-1535 cm-1; 1543-1425 cm-1; 1430-1210 cm-1; 1127-1057 cm-1; 1067-930 cm-1. Multidimensional Bartlett test and Machalonobis distance are calculated for a female patient relative to values specific for practically healthy women. Bartlett test statistic value being equal to 98.995±8.71 and Machalonobis distance being equal to 84.17±12.16, polycystic ovary syndrome is to be diagnosed. Bartlett test statistic value being less than or equal to 61.656±8.71 and Machalonobis distance being less than or equal to 15.25, conclusion is to be drawn that the woman is practically healthy.
EFFECT: simplified method; enabled early stage diagnosis.
