SUBSTANCE: invention represents a diagnostic technique for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in adolescents aged from 14 through 17 years by measuring urine 2-OHE1/16α-ONE1 ratio, differing by measuring the oestrogen metabolites 2-hydroxyestrone and 16α-hydroxyestrone in urine in vitro, deriving their ratio and comparing the calculated values to the determined normal values specific for healthy girls of the same age; PCOS is diagnosed if the value is 0.71±0.03.
EFFECT: more accurate non-invasive diagnosis using enzyme immunoassay.
