FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely obstetrics and gynecology, and refers to differential diagnostics method for primary and secondary polycystic ovaries syndrome (PCOS). The method consists in catepthine D activity determination in peritoneal fluid. If catheptine D activity achieves 0.1 EU/h and higher, primary PCOS is diagnosed, if the value is below 0.1, secondary PCOS is recognised.
EFFECT: allows differentiation between primary and secondary forms of PCOS in short time after laparoscopy conduction.
