FIELD: radar systems monitoring air situation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device is used for detection and classification of flying and hovering helicopters both single and in group; device consists of the following components connected in series: fast conversion Fourier unit, unit for determination of peaks in Doppler spectrum, subtraction unit for subtraction in every other cycle interval, threshold unit, unit for determination of amplitude modulation period of signal corresponding to signal reflected from helicopter rotor blades, data base and display units; data base unit may be used for comparison of obtained magnitude of signal amplitude modulation period with data base for determination of helicopter model on basis of this comparison. Signal received by antenna is fed to input of fast conversion Fourier unit and to second input of subtraction unit; second output of threshold unit is connected with second input of indicator.
EFFECT: possibility of identification of helicopter group and flying vehicles of this group.
