FIELD: helicopter tracking methods.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for tracking a helicopter in a pulse-Doppler radar station (RLS). To accompany the helicopter, the signal reflected from the helicopter at an intermediate frequency in a pulse-Doppler radar station is subjected to narrow-band Doppler filtering based on the fast Fourier transform procedure and converted into an amplitude-frequency spectrum, the components of which are due to signal reflections from the helicopter fuselage, moving parts of its power plant and rotating blades of its main rotor, in a certain way filter the Doppler frequencies and form their estimate.

EFFECT: continuous tracking of the helicopter in the pulse-Doppler radar is provided.
