FIELD: antenna engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed spherical self-phasing antenna array that can be used as transceiving servo antenna in miscellaneous radio systems including satellite radio relay and mobile communication systems is made in the form of hollow sphere whose outer surface mounts basic antennas and inner surface, auxiliary antennas. Antennas oppositely disposed on outer and inner surfaces of sphere are interconnected through transceiving modules. Mounted in center of sphere is feed affording in-phase excitation of antennas disposed on inner surface of sphere and used to distribute signals among array antennas. Directivity pattern of antenna array is automatically shaped for transmission.
EFFECT: improved distribution of high-frequency reference signal throughout antenna array while saving zero phase progression.
