FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-shielded welding of metals by consumable electrode, namely, to mechanized welding in carbon dioxide at low-frequency modulation of welding bath. Method can be used for welding spatial structures. Wilding is carried out at low-frequency modulation of welding bath by weld spots. Size and overlapping of weld spots are set by control system. Welding is carried out by pulse at rising volt-ampere characteristics of arc and flat volt-ampere characteristics of supply source with forming of welding bath of required volume. Welding bath is partially crystallized at pause, for this purpose welding is done at flat volt-ampere characteristics of arc and external steeply drooping volt-ampere characteristics of supply source.
EFFECT: provision of quality weld joints of thin sheet metals in all spatial positions.
