FIELD: mechanical engineering; escalator drives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed drive of escalator consists of main electric motor 1 whose shaft 2 is connected with output input shaft 5 of reduction gear 6 by means of elastic clutch 3 furnished with flywheel 4. Shaft 2 is fitted on bearings 8 and 9 in housing 7. Flywheel 4 is installed on bearings 10 and 11 which rest on cylindrical shank 12 rigidly coupled with housing 7 of reduction gear 6. Flywheel is detachably connected with clutch member 13 of elastic clutch 3 which is secured on input shaft 5 of reduction gear. Flywheel 4 is connected with clutch member 13 by means of fastening members 14.
EFFECT: increased service life of bearings of escalator reduction gear.
