FIELD: rocket engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed nozzle flow control unit has movable central body, housing accommodating central body and units fastening nozzle flow control unit to nozzle assembly. Housing of central body is made thin-walled in form of hollow rod with through holes on its side surface, in rear part and on point of central body made in form of cone. Piston rigidly fastened to front part of central body is sealed in housing nozzle flow control unit made in form of cylindrical capsule. Front space of control unit housing is filled with liquid. Grain is arranged in free space of control unit housing being fitted on central body and having low-temperature slow-burning fuel charge. Central pipe is rigidly attached to control unit housing said pipe axially gets into central body and it is provided with hole is front part for pressure-relied valve arranged on bottom of control unit housing.
EFFECT: provision of constant pressure in nozzle space at progressive burning of solid propellant, reduced charge thermal loads acting onto control unit housing.
