FIELD: fan engineering.

SUBSTANCE: diametrical fan comprises casing with sucking and pressure branch pipe and working wheel with blades and throttling device mounted in the casing. The throttling device is made of rotatable blades pivotally interconnected through a tie and arranged throughout the cross-section of the sucking branch pipe. The axes of rotation of the rotatable blades are parallel to the axis of rotation of the working wheel. The angles of setting of rotatable blades with respect to the horizon increase proportional to the angles of setting the blades of the working wheel to the horizon.

EFFECT: increased flow velocity and enhanced efficiency of fan.
