FIELD: handling radioactive materials.

SUBSTANCE: handling chamber incorporating shipping box has housing provided with hatches and safety gloves attached to them, as well as inspection port. Shipping box is mounted on guides close to handing chamber. Housing of the latter has inlet hatch lid set on sealing gasket that contacts sealing gasket installed between annular projection of inlet hatch and end of shipping box lid when the latter is closed to form clearance between inlet lid of handling chamber hatch and shipping box lid. Through hole is made in central part of inlet hatch lid to receive pipe union. Outer surface of handling chamber wall facing the shipping box has annular slot accommodating sealing gasket contacting end surface of shipping box flange. Attached to rear wall of shipping box lid is shelf for material to be treated.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of chamber-to-box joint sealing.
