DANDELION CONTROLLING TOOL Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A01B1/16 

FIELD: equipment used in horticulture, in particular, thinner for plant-by-plant removal of weedage grass having long rootstock such as dandelion, horse sorrel etc.

SUBSTANCE: thinner tool has tubular casing with two longitudinal slots, coupling and piston with stem. Lower part of casing is cut by plane extending at an acute angle to its axis. Slots are positioned at an angle of 180 deg one relative to the other. Piston and stem are rigidly connected to one another and built into inner opening of casing. Piston has annular bore positioned in its upper part and adapted for providing movable attachment to lower guiding sleeve by means of pin, and stem has through opening formed in its upper part and adapted for providing attachment of coupling thereto through longitudinal slots by means of tightening member and upper sleeve. Spring is put onto stem in the zone between upper and lower guiding sleeves. Spring serves for returning of piston to operating position.

EFFECT: increased strength, convenient usage, increased efficiency in removal of weedage grass with minimum damage to cultured crops.
