FIELD: oil producing industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed unit contains submersible centrifugal pump, protector, submersible electric motor and oil expansion volumetric compensator arranged below electric motor. Compensator is made in form of cylindrical housing with connecting head from side of its upper end face and cover from side of lower end face, and piston arranged inside housing. Overpiston space of compensator communicates through channel in connecting head with oil-filled space of electric motor, and underpiston space communicates with environment through hole in cover. Protector has housing, upper and lower nipples with end face support placed in between, shaft secured on support with seals, upper and lower heads with flanges for connecting with pump and electric motor. Shafts of electric motor, protector and pump are mechanically coupled. Housing of protector is cylindrical, and space with piston is found in housing between lower head and lower nipple. Overpiston space is filled with oil, and it communicates through channels in lower nipple and pipeline with oil-filled space of electric motor, and underpiston space communicates through channel in lower head with environment.
