FIELD: shellfish cultivation.
SUBSTANCE: rectangular containers with mesh walls and perforated shelves are installed in containers filled with seawater and equipped with a water supply system with an adjustable water turnover rate. The distance between the shelves is 8-10 cm. Shellfish producers are placed in containers, to the shelves and walls of which clean shells of the shellfish are attached, which serve as a substrate for larvae settling. The maturation of sexual products of producers is stimulated by additional supply of warm water and increasing the temperature. After spawning, the larvae attach to the artificial substrate. When the larvae reach a viable stage, they are collected and placed in containers with a mesh size of 5 mm. As the mollusks grow, they are transplanted with a decrease in the density of planting in containers with a mesh size of 10 mm. In the containers, water is constantly exchanged at a controlled rate, while food for shellfish comes along with seawater, and the products of their metabolism are also taken out with water.
EFFECT: invention reduces the loss of shellfish during cultivation.
