FIELD: structural elongated elements designed for load-supporting, particularly metal joists, girders, trusses, or truss-like structures.

SUBSTANCE: joist system includes hollow profiled joists with polygonal cross-sections. Each hollow profiled joist has ribs extending along joist edges and connected to at least one joist surface. The ribs define grooves for quick-response connection members receiving and have edge undercuts. The quick-response connection members are used for next profiled joist or other structural member connection. Profiled joists are also provided with inner corner grooves formed in inner joist corner areas for above ribs wedging and forcing out in different directions simultaneously with deformation of hollow profiled joist wall inserted between the ribs. Ribs are also formed on neighboring hollow profiled joist wall sides. Outer corner groove is created between both ribs located at edge between outer walls of hollow profiled joist abutting one upon another.

EFFECT: increased reliability of joist system assemblage.
