FIELD: rocketry, applicable for combustion of a solid propellant charge.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in vertical installation of the solid rocket engine, fastening of it to a footpad and combustion of the charge. The rocket engine is installed directly in the shaft of the launching silo, where combustion of the charge is performed. The rocket engine is installed with the nozzle up, and the nozzle is closed with a sealed end-cap. Then, the rocket engine is connected to the stationary launch control panel and to the engine maintenance recording system, the shaft of the launching silo is filled with an inert liquid up to the upper lever, and ignition of the charge is initiated.
EFFECT: reduced expenditures on preparation and combustion of solid propellant charges.
