FIELD: strong current impulse equipment, possible use in electro-physical plants for producing powerful electromagnetic impulses.
SUBSTANCE: in proposed method, coaxial plasma stream is divided on a set of cylindrical plasma layers, ejected radially into inter-electrode space for forming a plasma layer. In suggested device, system for making plasma layer is formed by a series of minimum two axial-symmetric reflecting elements, mounted in the hollow of internal electrode on the way of expansion of plasma stream with shifting along the axis of chamber, providing for possible transverse cutoff of plasma stream at different radiuses of its cross-section and for deflection of stream in radial direction. Also, reflective elements of plasma plant may have surface of rotation body. In plasma plant in zone of forming of plasma layer in inter-electrode space additional cylindrical electrode may be mounted, coaxial to internal and external electrodes and electrically connected to external electrode. This additional electrode may be made thin-walled and forming a circular hollow together with external electrode, limited in transverse cross-section of chamber by conductive rings. Additional electrode may be represented by a metallic mesh.
EFFECT: increased quality of produced plasma layer in view of distribution of plasma density in it and geometry of layer.
