FIELD: communication system with broadband wireless access having sleep mode and active mode.
SUBSTANCE: client station controls sleep mode after receiving response from base station with refusal of request of sleep mode from client station to base station. If response with refusal is received from base station, client station repeatedly requests sleep mode from base station on expiration of wait time. If response with refusal is received from base station, client station supports repeated transfer of sleep mode request to base station until a non-requested response to sleep mode request is received from base station.
EFFECT: minimized energy consumption and mutual interference between channel signals.
