SUBSTANCE: absorbing article comprises liquid-permeable surface layer facing user's body during usage, liquid-impermeable protective layer facing side opposite to user's body during usage, and absorbing core including one or more layers of material, said absorbing core being positioned between surface layer and protective layer. Absorbing core is manufactured from material comprising superabsorbing polymers. Superabsorbing polymer material has edge wetting angle at its surface constituting less than 60 deg when measured with the use of defibrinated sheep's blood, and gel strength exceeding 18 kPa.
EFFECT: improved absorption of blood-containing fluids.
