FIELD: mechanical engineering; bridge cranes and crane tracks.
SUBSTANCE: proposed multiwheel bridge crane has balance trucks, each formed by two pairs of wheels fitted on axle. Wheels 3 of balance truck engaging with rails are arranged in relatively perpendicular planes. Each wheel rests by its cylindrical roll surface on corresponding roll surface of rail tetrahedral head 6. flanges of wheels enclose tetrahedral rail from below. Frame of balance truck is flexible coupled with frame of similar balance truck moving along parallel rail. Each balance truck is hinge-connected with frame of crane bridge. Frame of balance truck is connected with continuous end beam of multiwheel bridge crane by means of vertically and inclined orientated springs 13 and 14 playing also the part of elastic joints. Balance trucks are installed on each rail at distance between axles of wheel pairs to provide equal distance between each pair of wheels.
EFFECT: prevention of derailment of crane, increased service life and improved reliability of crane tracks, reduced mass and overall dimensions of crane.
