SUBSTANCE: replaceable insert 10 of centrifugal pump housing designed for pumping of suspensions under heavy operating conditions and containing abrasive particles employs configured spiral chamber 60 asymmetrical in axial cross section along circumference of housing insert 10 from cut water area to neck area. Asymmetry is relative to plane which divides by half housing 10 and area of spiral chamber 60 in radial direction. Insert 10 can be used together with impeller 20 furnished with displacement blades 50 to remove suspension from sealing surface 62.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of pumps and stabilization of flow.
