FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: cylindrical item is mounted onto basing members; then the cylinder is fixed along part of its length to make a circle in is its cross- section as at fixed part of ring and at protruding part. Thickness is measured at protruding part of thin-walled ring along circle during rotation of basing members along longitudinal axis of ring and along length when measuring devices moves along axis of ring. Device for measuring width of cylindrical item has base onto which base cantilever is disposed, which cantilever is provided with measuring head, mounted at axis being parallel to base; base rest and indicator are fixed onto measuring head. Device also has basing unit made in form of motionless case; case is provided with grooves. Rod is mounted in cylindrical opening of case for axial movement relatively case and for rotation together with case. Cam members are disposed uniformly along circle in grooves of case; cam members are made in form sectors for fixing non-hard thin-walled ring. Conical surface is made onto rod; response wedge-shaped surface is mounted onto sectors being spring-loaded to rod.
EFFECT: improved productivity; high precision of measurement.
