FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; rotors of large electrical machines such as turboalternators.

SUBSTANCE: in order to minimize alternate stress due to mass of banding assembly and due to rotor flexure when fitting banding rings onto rotor core, at least one annular slit formed by side surfaces and bottom disposed concentrically to outer cylindrical surface of banding rings gradually transferred to side surfaces is made on outer cylindrical surface and on conical surfaces of banding rings close to point of their fitting onto rotor core.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of nonsalient pole synchronous machine rotor.
