FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cast iron composition for metal moulds. Proposed cast iron comprises the following components, wt.-%: carbon, 3.2-3.8; silicon, 0.3-0.7; manganese, 0.3-0.8; aluminum, 0.15-0.45; boron, 0.01-0.03; molybdenum, 1.0-2.0; vanadium, 0.2-0.6; chrome, 1.0-1.5; magnesium, 0.001-0.002; rare-earth metals, 0.1-0.2, and iron, the balance. Using the invention provides enhancing heat resistance of cast iron.
EFFECT: improved and valuable property of cast iron.
