FIELD: tool-making industry.

SUBSTANCE: by means of contact and non-contact failure sensors, made with possible operation in range of frequencies ranging from shares of hertz to units of gigahertz and mounted on communication lines or in direct proximity (up to 1-2 cm) from element or unit of electrical circuit of flow meter, detected as sources of failures are: contact soldered connections, transfer apertures and printed conductors of electronic boards, contact devices of integration microchips, connectors and connector blocks, one- and multi-wire cables, interface buses, grounding and electric power buses. Used as informative parameters of failure presence are heightened electromagnetic radiation, additional shift of fronts of impulse signals, change of phases of harmonic signals, presence of sub-harmonic oscillations, change of ratio of falling and reflected wave, change of amplitude-frequency characteristics, appearance of signals differentiation effect.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to determine actual presence of flow meter failure and also sources of failures.
