FIELD: road reconstruction and road paving material application.
SUBSTANCE: reconstruction method for road with asphaltic concrete paving involves taking cores from road paving; observing cores to determine compositions of core layers, layer thicknesses and difference between the layers; milling the cores to produce granular asphaltic concrete paving material; choosing bitumen emulsion from climatic conditions of road section to be reconstructed and bitumen emulsion usage temperature; mixing bitumen emulsion and granular asphaltic concrete paving material to obtain bituminous mixture; testing the ready bituminous mixture to determine performance thereof by performing abrasion test, thermal crack formation test, moisture sensitivity test carried out with the use of vacuum impregnation method, stability test; finally choosing bitumen emulsion mix on the base of above tests; reconstructing road paving after bitumen emulsion mix choice. Different paving processing methods and paving layer variants obtained with the use of above methods are also disclosed.
EFFECT: possibility of secondary bituminous material usage, obtaining of regenerated road paving having improved performance and increased paving material components compatibility, possibility to reconstruct highly damaged paving surface.
